Just caught SoHo Photo’s 40th Anniversary retrospective over the weekend: a decent variety of photographs, and a delightfully unpretentious space to boot! It’s fascinating (if somewhat sobering at times) to see how the medium of photography has changed over the past four decades. There’s something about the sharpness of film - not just the grain, but the discernment of the eye - that digital photography still doesn’t match.
Which reminds me: I’ve got 4 rolls of film yet to be developed! Off to the lab.
